Take a walk with us as we journey through the madness of wedding planning...
Almost 700 guests. Roughly $11,000. Deadline: October 2, 2010.
The above picture was taken on our first date when we saw a loving elderly couple take a stroll together
They moved step by step with each other's support, seemingly oblivious to the surrounding noise and chatter...

Follow up Post: PEW DECOR continued... sigh

So someone asked me whether the poms looked "that bad"... here's my end result.
Granted every time i make poms they look like some dog chewed it up and spit it out... but dude... either way its not pretty.

Then someone asked me what it would look like simply as wreaths (no monogram in the middle)

Then someone asked me what if there was a monogram in the middle?

And lastly, a creative alternative I thought of myself:

Votes please?

PS. On a good note, I bought the Williams & Sonoma Message-in-A-Cookie cutters that I'd been eyeing since I got engaged :)
On a bad note, Mr. Mercy's ring is slightly too small. Sigh. So we'll be re-ordering it a size up.

  1. OK, you're right about the poms ;)

The bouquets are cute, but I really like the wreaths! I actually like the plain ones better than the monogrammed ones, but either way the wreaths are my top choice :)

  3. i feel like you're using too much paper for the poms and that's why it looks limp. if i get a chance, i will give it a shot...

whatever you go with, scrap the monograms. if there's just one, it might look ok, but if you have a lot of them hanging in a lot of places, i think it will look tacky - like branding on clothes or something. just my opinion.
